After an accident, a man developed symptoms in his hand consistent with a Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), a debilitating condition. RSD is a particularly difficult condition to diagnose and tests failed to confirm the diagnosis. The insurer’s doctor wrote a five page report stating that, not only did the man not have RSD, but that he was faking the injury. We, however, believed our client.
We compiled and presented compelling evidence through videotape of the man’s activities before and after the accident. Further, we brought in non-medical witnesses to corroborate the man’s testimony regarding how his injuries interrupted his daily activities. Even though doctors didn’t believe the man, we proved that his injury was real and earned over $125,000 for him.
