I can't think of anything more American than The Ride 4 Justin. To me, it's an example of how a town doesn't forget those who sacrifice so that other will be safe. Young Justin died training with the fire department. He had wanted to save lives. He wanted the people in his town to sleep easy knowing men and women like him were ready to do what was necessary.
On this early May day filled with sunshine, It seems like the whole town comes out to remember this young man. As I wandered through the crowd and watch hundreds of motorcycles pulling in to the parking lot, I couldn't help but feel as if I was at a family reunion. Everyone came out to raise money for charity, to pay tribute to a young man that had given all, and to show his family and friends that they wouldn't forget. America is filled with thousands of towns like Southington. And that what makes this country great.
