We did our homework.. motorcyclist wins!

Early one evening Joe King was riding his motorcycle along with two friends. A car coming from the other direction stopped and turned suddenly, hitting Mr. King. Although he suffered life changing injuries, he needed someone to represent his side of the story. That's when he contacted the Haymond Law Firm who was able to get a settlement that he deserved.

 Staying safe on Pennsylvania roads

  • Motorcyclists cannot operate a vehicle while wearing or using one or more of the following items...headphones, earphones, or any other similar device which the department by regulation determines would impair the ability of the driver to hear traffic sounds.
  • Don't carry passengers unless your motorcycle is designed to carry multiple passengers.  In no event shall a passenger sit in front of the operator of the motorcycle.
  • Don't carrying any package, bundle or other article which would prevent you from keeping both hands on the handlebars.
  • Even though motorcyclists are allowed to operate with two abreast in a single lane., it is far less safe to ride in this fashion.
  • Don't EVER overtake and pass in the same lane occupied by the vehicle being overtaken.
  • Don't operate your motorcycle between lanes of traffic or between adjacent lines or rows of vehicles.
  • If you carry passengers, always be sure your bike is equipped with footrests and handholds for the passenger.
  • Always wear a proper motorcycle helmet and eye protection.  Contacts do not qualify as proper eye protection as they will not protect you from road debris such as pebbles and nails.
