Greg Teller, a steel worker, was seriously injured when a motorist took an improper left turn in front of his vehicle. He lay in a coma for several days. Greg and his family turned to the Haymond Law Firm for help.
An Attorney arranged for Greg to undergo a Traumatic Brain Injury evaluation which confirmed damage to his speech and memory. He was also tested at the Taste and Smell Clinic at the UCONN Health Center, where it was determined that he sustained severe limitations in his senses of taste and smell. Greg also required surgery for leg injuries which left him with a permanent disability to his left leg. We arranged for assessments by a vocational rehabilitation expert, as well as a psychiatrist because of his depression following the accident.
Our main concern was that Greg be compensated for his physical and emotional injuries as well as his loss of income and the expenses associated with his vocational retraining and rehabilitation.
Through our efforts, Greg was awarded an immediate lump sum of $500,000. He will also receive additional monthly payments throughout his lifetime totalling more than $1,205,619.
