Attorney Kim A.S. Sudnick

With more than $70 million in verdicts and settlements, Kim Sudnick litigates in CT, MA, and VT. Kim, as she prefers to be called, has been practicing law for 26 years at The Haymond Law Firm.

Kim received honors and awards from her colleagues nationally and throughout New England. Nationally, in 2015, Kim was invited into Membership of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial attorneys in the country. Kim was invited into that membership after obtaining a record verdict in one of Connecticut’s most conservative jurisdictions. In MA, Kim was asked to be a special prosecutor for the District Attorney’s Office for the Northwestern District of MA, where she worked on felony trials. In MA, Kim successfully litigated many motorcycle and motor vehicle accident cases. In MA, Kim represented a National Labor Union and successfully won the Union’s right to continue to picket for a living wage.

In CT, Kim has been repeatedly asked by the Connecticut Bar Association to be a 20+ year member of the Ethics Committee drafting many of the ethical opinions involving liens against personal injury recovery cases and has been asked to teach ethics to attorneys. In MA, Kim also has been asked to teach updated laws to attorneys. Kim enjoys participating in the attorney comedy improv night in Burlington, VT. In MA and CT, Kim has been invited to various news stations to provide legal opinions on television.

Kim has performed trials in CT and MA. In 2017 Kim had 4 of the top 20 settlements and verdicts in CT.

Kim obtained multi-million-dollar awards including a $5 million prejudgment award following a hearing, a $2.6 million arbitration award on disputed liability, and a $1.4 million verdict. Kim has brought hundreds of cases through litigation with many cases settling for more than a million dollars. Kim is an aggressive litigator. Kim files prejudgment attachments to recover millions past what the insurance coverage is for a defendant. This aggressiveness brings her cases to settle sooner. In all the cases where Kim has filed for prejudgment attachments, Kim has obtained multi-million-dollar results.
